Hold on to your hammers Marvel Fans, cos’ the third installment of Thor’s Asgardian shenanigans is SMASHING its way to the big screen since the 25th of October.
There is much to be excited for in this current blockbuster:
Thor gets a much-needed hair cut.
His angry green friend from work joins the party.
The Norse goddess of death pays a visit as the devastatingly beautiful Cate Blanchett.
And the naïve thunder god is still accepting help from his mischievous brother Loki… Hasn’t he learnt anything from the Dark World?

As well as the aforementioned, fans learn that the Collectors brother, played by the legend, Jeff Goldblum, will be making his debut as the Grand Master. And after appearing in his own debut film, Benedict Cumberbatch will be reprising his role as Doctor Strange, however his purpose in this realm of Gods and Monster is unclear.
In the trailer, we see glimpses of a giant wolf. Those who know the mythology will know him as Fenris. His role in upcoming events remains to be seen but I doubt this overgrown dog wants Thor to give him a belly rub.

Fans are also greeted by a short second-long clip of a giant fiery demon. Mythology tells us that this character is Surtur, a formidable foe whom Thor is destined to battle during Ragnarok.
However, the Legend of Ragnarok, the inspiration for the film’s title may not adhere to what has been released in the trailer thus far.

Ragnarok is known as either ‘the doom of the Gods’ or ‘the twilight of the gods’. Ominous prophesies have long foretold the downfall of the cosmos and the gods and goddesses along with it.
Will Taiki Waititi adhere to this apocalyptic prophesy?
