Adapting TV to Comic Books

Ever heard of a Storyboard? It's essentially any TV show, Cartoon or movie in comic form before the TV show, cartoon or movie even exists yet.

But for the topic at hand, something a little more direct is in order. How about the X Files comic book series by IDW?

Much like the Doctor Who novel from last week, I've never read the X Files comic book but I came across it while checking the IDW library on their website for new Godzilla comics which I have indeed read.

But since comics are the closest thing to a TV show, cartoon or movie, I am confident that it is an easy task in recreating something visual like that.
