Adaptations between mediums

Fans for the past 50+ years have been angry or annoyed at adaptations of their favourite things being expressed in other mediums of media. Super Mario Bros the movie is a prime example of a video game being made into a movie not working. E.T for the Atari is a prime example of a movie becoming a video game and failing.
Some people say it's the producers, directors and writers/programmers who are to blame for not understanding the essence of the topic at hand. Some people criticise the source materials directly. So far in some cases, there has never been a good transition between exclusive mediums that have been praised. What I mean is Batman has jumped to almost every medium of media flawlessly but there has never been a good movie based off a video game that nobody has turned their nose up at.
Here's a list of all the forms of media that exist boiled down to their most basic names:
Book
Comic Book
Radio
Music
TV
Cartoon
Cinema
Video Game
Although there are only 8 here it does give a long list of combinations:
Cartoon > Comic Book
Cartoon > Radio
Cartoon > Music
Cartoon > TV
Cartoon > Movie
Cartoon > Video Game
Movie > Book
Movie > Comic Book
Movie > Radio
Movie > Music
Movie > TV
Movie > Cartoon
Movie > Video Game
Video Game > Book
Video Game > Comic Book
Video Game > Radio
Video Game > Music
Video Game > TV
Video Game > Cartoon Video Game > Movie
There has been at least 1 adaptation between each and every medium although radio adaptations don't immediately spring to mind for me. With a little research I found some.Let's begin but since this series will be... long winded, it will be cut-up into different Blogs which will be put into a library one by one to complete this series overtime.
