Adapting Comic Books to TV

The very best adaptation of a Comic Book has to be 'Batman'. The 60s version of course starring Adam West (Whom we all miss).

Although this example isn't exactly an adaption since all the stories were written for the show and wasn't pre-existing in a Comic Book.

However the 60s Batman still is an adaptation of the character and a pretty good one compared to the Silver age of Comics when darker plot lines and more adult stories were removed in favour of more child friendly stories. A more clown like Joker of sorts. Actually, what I've just said is covered more in the Film Theory 2 parter on the Joker found here:

Other examples are 'The Flash' (Modern and Old), 'The Hulk', 'WonderWoman', 'GreenArrow' and 'SuperGirl'.

All of which appropriately reflect both the story and appearance of the characters in the Comic Books.

'Gotham' is more of a take on Batman except it's set before the Batman even existed giving us a show that tells the story behind the villains.
